Community Standards
Recovery is something we create together.
State of Being is a shared recovery space. The way we move through it, interact with each other and care for the environment contributes to how the space feels for everyone.

Our Community Standards aren't about making recovery rigid. They protect the conditions that allow people of different ages, backgrounds, bodies and abilities to feel comfortable, welcome and able to recover here. This reflects the environment State of Being has deliberately created from the beginning: people don't need to look a certain way, know the rules already or understand recovery before they belong.
Be considerate of the state of others. Some people come here to recover from a hard training session. Others arrive after a demanding day, a difficult week or simply because recovery is part of their routine. Conversation and connection are welcome: State of Being is a community, not a silent retreat but be aware of the people sharing the space with you. Read the room: Keep conversations respectful and allow others the space to recover in the way they need.
Everybody belongs here There is no required fitness level, body type, experience or ability. Never assume why someone is here, what they are capable of or what recovery should look like for them. Be kind. Be curious. Be respectful.
Your recovery isn't a competition Colder isn't better. Longer isn't better. More isn't better. You don't need to prove anything here, no performance required. Listen to your body, follow the guidance of our team and move between modalities when it is appropriate for your state.
Protect the shared spaces Please shower before entering our pools, sauna or steam room. Use a towel between your body and sauna seating, and follow any hygiene or safety instructions provided throughout the space.
Respect the guidance of our team Our team is here to help create a safe and considered recovery experience. There may be times when we recommend changing a modality, duration or sequence, or advise you not to use something based on the information available to us. Please listen to that guidance. And equally, you are always in control of your own body. If something doesn't feel right, stop and tell us.
