STATE OF BEING
Where recovery builds capacity.
Understand your state. Recover intentionally.
Build the capacity for what matters.
Welcome to State of Being
Everyday recovery for real people with real demands.
Life places demands on all of us, physical, cognitive and emotional. The problem isn't demand itself. It's what happens when load keeps accumulating without enough opportunity to recover.
State of Being creates the conditions for intentional recovery. A place to understand your state, recognise what your body is communicating and practise recovery in ways that help you regulate, restore, adapt and build capacity.
Because recovery isn't about escaping the life you live. It's about building the capacity to keep doing what matters to you.

A State Session
The State Session is our signature recovery experience.
Every person arrives carrying a different combination of physical, cognitive and emotional load and that changes from day to day. Your recovery should respond to it.
We assess how you arrive, then guide you through an intentional sequence of recovery practices designed around your state, your needs and what you are trying to achieve.
Run & Recover
Run & Recover is a guided session designed around both sides of performance, the ability to meet physical demand and the ability to recover from it.
You'll spend 30 minutes outdoors running, using breath and pacing techniques to better understand how your body responds as demand increases. Then, back at State of Being, we'll guide you through 30 minutes of intentional recovery, using a specific sequence of modalities designed to support recovery from the load you've just created.

If you could bottle this feeling it would be worth billions....
I didn't expect it to feel this profound. Who knew that this is what I should feel like...
Best time I've ever spent not training. I perform better after this than a gym session...
It's the first time in a long time I've truely felt calm, not tired, not flat, my body feels lighter. I didn't know how much I needed this...
First State
When did "fine" become good enough?
Tired but functioning. Wired but coping. Working hard, but not getting the results, Busy, flat or overwhelmed, but still getting everything done.
First State gives you four weeks to experience intentional recovery, understand what changes your state and begin building the habits that help you keep pace with your life.
Up to 3 visits each week for 4 weeks + personal 28-Day Recovery Habit Tracker.

Feel
regulated
From the moment you step inside, something begins to shift.
The noise reduces. Your breath has space to slow. Your gaze lifts and your field of vision widens. Shoulders drop. The demands of the day haven't disappeared but for a while, the conditions around you have changed.
From there, we assess your state and guide you through an intentional sequence of recovery practices based on how you have arrived and what you need that day.
You begin to notice how your body responds. What helps you shift. What restores you. What you might need more, or less of.
You leave not simply feeling different, but understanding yourself a little better.
Because recovery isn't about escaping the demands of life. It's about building your capacity to meet them.
